His artwork all are about combination of all sort of tones,noise and frequencies together to make artwork.Mostly the sound are electronic sounds,matrix sound or non-living thing sound.The music artwork simply can grip the mind of audience with the combination of simple video screening with combination of different kind of sounds.The emotion ranging from calm, mysterious,scary,mad and more: his artworks are imaginative.The sounds from his artwork are express by computer data,matrix,lines and shapes.Mostly all his artwork is in monochrome or florence color and with some beats with patterns to show the inside digital world of computers system,TV screen or futuristic world.All is artwork is present by screening in a room or on some objects.He slowly changing his style of artwork which evolving soundscapes, with little or no sense of pulse.He says "a high frequency sound is used that the listener becomes aware of only upon its disappearance"-(from the CD booklet).

Little known to him but he is a game designer for the locoroco game for psp/phone and graduated from College of Engineering of Nihon University. The locoroco video game is his famous works that others know.His style of creating game is simplify character that is mostly round shape with the combination of nature.To play this game, u need to tilt your phone/psp to make the character to move forward to other place.It contains of levels which you need to gather your own kind to reach to the final destination -their home.The color of this game is pastel,colorful and childlike simple design.He create his own language for the whole soundtrack of this game to prevent alienating foreign players.it is created by compiling a list of interesting words in katakana ( japanese language), then altering the words slightly to make them sound cool in Japanese as to mask their origins.

Media Art Design 2: MMA1123

Brief:
STAGE 01: This is an individual project. Students are required to conduct research about digital multimedia artist.
Based on research and findings, student need to select TWO media artist that inspired them.
Write a summary for each artist which conclude artist’s philosophy towards his/her style of work,
including their digital artwork concepts, expression and emotions.

STAGE02: Based on their two summaries, students are required to create TWO screen design
that represent their selected artists concepts, approach and directions.
Both screen design should carry expressive and provocative meanings to stimulate user s mind.
Screen design must include: title, content, three submenu buttons and a quit button.

Objective:
- To understand, explore and creating functional graphic user interface with purposed for digital visual communication.
- To investigate the development of technology in creating digital media art installations.

Evaluation criteria:
- Research documentation: 10%
- Creativity, idea development and sketches of ideas: 10%
- Final Artworks: 10%

Tittle : Stress

I use string and needle because the tangle and curl string represent the confusion and stress in daily life of someone.The needle is like a solution/end of thinking which have been successful settle.

the sub-typography is created smaller until other hardly to read it to show the relationship of tiny end of the needle.Curly typography are use to related the curly-ness string in the picture.Dotted line show the related element to the needle and string.The overall is to keep it as simple as possible by having a lot blank place to let others to rest their eye when looking at the artwork too long.

Tittle : Show Off

Scissors are used in the artwork due to sharpness and the reflection from the scissors which show the sexiness that tend to attract crowd.The artwork composition is based on the idea of a model walking on a stage and show off what they have while also making envy-ness from others.Red cloth represent like a stage for scissors/women (to make it lady-like representation).The decorative and the size of typography is to show the beauty that want to show off.The sharp and thin lines show the relationship of scissors. The overall is to keep it as simple as possible by having a lot blank place to let others to rest their eye when looking at the artwork too long.

It another composition thumbnail sketches for the 2 selected item : needle , scissors.

after some consultation with lecturer and some changes of doing the assignment the idea somehow is related to the sketches that i have done in class.I strongly compose the scissors in a way that even is not fully reveal but still others can recognize the scissors by shape or shadow and shapeness.

The changing for needles(artwork) is not a big deal at all,instead i change the words become smaller like needle which hardly seen by others to indicate the tiny head of the needles to make it related to each other.

the shadow show the sharpness leg which is thin and slender for leg of ladies.The sport light is to show the urge to show off on stage like model.

after consultation and idea choosing.

idea development for final artwork (changes) :

this is the 1st final artwork used to be submit for submission date but after presentation,lecturer advise me that the sub-letter should be smaller and also simplify a bit due to attractive and too big which is too obvious.

this is the final artwork before i submit,and really need to change a lot due to the grayness of the picture is too much and the focus of the needle making the string blur and is like whole chunk of black thing block the photo due the my camera limits.the words are too gray and gloomy color ,so do the words of shape when follow the thread is so weird and hard to see which u need to rotate the whole artwork in order to see the words.

Semiotics and Semantic

Semiotics:

Semiotics, also called semiotic studies or semiology, is the study of signs and sign processes (semiosis), indication, designation, likeness, analogy, metaphor, symbolism, signification, and communication. Semiotics is closely related to the field oflinguistics, which, for its part, studies the structure and meaning of language more specifically.Semiotics is frequently seen as having important anthropological dimensions; for example, Umberto Eco proposes that every cultural phenomenon can be studied as communication.However, some semioticians focus on the logical dimensions of the science. They examine areas belonging also to the natural sciences – such as how organisms make predictions about, and adapt to, their semiotic niche in the world. In general, semiotic theories take signs or sign systems as their object of study: the communication of information in living organisms is covered inbiosemiotics or zoosemiosis.

Semantic:
Semantics is the study of meaning. It is a wide subject within the general study of language. An understanding of semantics is essential to the study of language acquisition (how language users acquire a sense of meaning, as speakers and writers, listeners and readers) and of language change (how meanings alter over time). It is important for understanding language in social contexts, as these are likely to affect meaning, and for understanding varieties of English and effects of style. It is thus one of the most fundamental concepts in linguistics. The study of semantics includes the study of how meaning is constructed,interpreted,clarified,obscured,illustrated, simplified negotiated, contradicted and paraphrased.

Tittle : deforestation

Artwork treatment: windows movie maker

To raise awareness of environment issue around us.But in this project,I focus on deforestation.Deforestation which cause a lot of problem since it is the burning and removing of forest.Forests are also the habitat of animals and also the producer of the oxygen in the world,without it a lot of environment issue like global warning will happen due to lack of oxygen and mass of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.It is better to control this issue by replanting back the trees that cut down or burn down for farming purpose or etc.

For the video i decided to choose a soundtrack-Po founds the truth from the movie kung fu panda 2 since the movie soundtrack consist the high and low pitch like how the feeling change.

then for the video , i choose water painting which is abstract but contain how the artist feel but instead of how i feel and i am using the persona in my survey result :
1-deforestation -perform in with using the color which indicate the feeling of it.* i pick it since it related in 1 of the answer in the survey since they pick *green* in question 4 *
2-anger - i want to use color to indicate the anger feeling , so i use red and brown.
3-green - the symbol color for environment
4-yes - the concern of people I have survey.

the reason why I use water painting because I recall the memories that lecturers tell us if the video is like a story will little bit plain.So,I use water painting which is abstract when the drawing is paint on the water.instead of using color to paint out the picture and item, i make it more abstract and it can create a natural twirl and line like feeling-which is unstable and unpredictable.
